Take the shot or not? The images show bird species found in large fish ponds, rivers, major coastal lakes, and the sea during the opening of the waterfowl hunting season. The test was prepared by specialists from NOMEDITIE.ORG.
The opening of the waterfowl season begins on a specific date – 20 August – and continues for two more weeks, until 15 December. However, please note that from the opening of the season until 15 September, hunting is only allowed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. In public bodies of water, a hunter may harvest no more than 10 waterfowl per day.
In public bodies of water and their shoreline protection zones, huntable waterfowl may be hunted without coordination with the holder of hunting rights for the district where the body of water is located. The list of public lakes and rivers can be found in Appendix 1 of the Civil Law. The State Forest Service reminds hunters that hunting in public bodies of water located within city administrative areas is only permitted in accordance with the rules established by the respective municipality. If the municipality has not established such rules, hunting in the city area is prohibited.
